Temple Run – A Game Review
Temple Run: The Chronicles of Doom is the newest adventure game on Facebook. The first Temple Run was awesome, but this one is even better! Temple Run is a fast-paced action-adventure game based on the hit movie of the same name. Temple Run: The Chronicles of Doom is a remade, ‘retro’ version of Temple Run designed to be more exciting and challenging than the original version. In this new release Temple Run: The Chronicles of Doom, you play as newly hired Temple Runner 2 protagonist Jackson and must save the Earth from an invasion of Zombies.
FEATURES. Like the old PC game, Temple Run is an adventure game in which you navigate through levels based on real-life temple designs. The new version has been completely overhauled to add a new storyline, improved graphics, improved music, and many other features. Enjoy running through large rooms filled with obstacles, collecting keys, finding items, healing yourself, and upgrading your skills, all while overcoming ever-increasing challenges in each level.
Level Design. Temple Run: The Chronicles of Doom features a number of different level designs, each with its own theme and style of gameplay. The harder levels take longer to complete than the easier ones, which are designed to challenge even the most advanced gamers. This is because in these tougher levels, you’ll find increased levels of obstacles, hazards, and puzzles to avoid, as well as more difficult puzzles to solve.
Different Abilities. Temple Run: The Chronicles of Doom includes 12 different characters to play as. Each has a special ability that helps them on their quests, and it’s up to you to decide whether you’re going to use them or simply out-run them. In the easier level variants, you’re not asked to choose your abilities, so you can just go straight into them. However, if you want to be a stealthy runner, you can choose your abilities before starting a level and choose them according to the situation.
Inventory and Perk System. Unlike the inventory in the previous games in the series, Temple Run: The Chronicles of Doom lets you customize your weapons and armor. You can mix and match different weapons you’ve collected throughout the game, and you can also buy more armor and clothing for use during your missions. There are also several perks you can purchase that will help you in your missions, and these bonuses can be collected as you complete levels.
Inventory Items. You’ll find a variety of different types of weapons, ammunition, healing items, and armor in Temple Run: The Chronicles of Doom. To get the best results, you’ll need to play through each level a few times, since the items you collect over time disappear after some time. Also, keep an eye out for an item called the Temple Run energy shield, which will protect you in high-pressure situations.
Time. Temple Run is quite a fast-paced game, even though it only takes about 20 minutes to complete one of its missions. But even if you’re not playing on your computer’s maximum settings, you’ll have a good enough gaming time.
Graphics and Sound. The graphics and sound in Temple Run are quite good. They’re crisp and clear, and the environments are wonderfully illustrated. It’ll be hard for you to notice any slowdown in the game, either due to its superb visuals or excellent acting. The music accompanying Temple Run is relaxing and soothing, and while it doesn’t do much to advance the plot, it does make you feel like you’re really part of the action.
Inventory and Recycling. Temple Run has plenty of inventory items to collect and earn money from. You’ll need these to buy weapons, unlock more levels, and purchase special items that will help you complete the levels. Some of these remains are collected via collecting energy cells, which you then replenish by collecting money from completing challenges. Temple Run is very careful to point this out, so you’ll know when to get replenished.
Offline and Online play. Playing Temple Run offline is fine; you can play the game without even using your browser. However, Temple Run is a lot more enjoyable when you play with a group of friends. You can still enjoy the game’s many challenges and achievements by going head-to-head with them in head-to-head online games, where you can split your score between all your team members at any time.
The PC version has a slightly higher screen resolution but otherwise runs well. Temple Run is fairly well balanced between the different platforms, it targets. It’s mostly a pleasant, relaxing time and has some nice sound effects. Playing Temple Run is like having a mini-adventure within itself.
