If you are a fighter pilot and you are not afraid of the latest and greatest modern warplanes that are used and modified for the purpose of aerial combat, then you probably have no idea what you are talking about. A lot of people, including some of the most famous fighter pilots, seem to think that if they cannot fly the latest and greatest, they can just shoot down anything that gets in their way. I know that this may be true in some cases, but I also know that this is not always the case. Here is what we need to start talking about.
Today, fighter jets are no longer primarily used for fighter planes. In fact, fighter jet production has pretty much come to a halt since the end of WW II. There are a handful of select countries that use the older B-jet and C-jet models, but they are not in any large enough force to keep the United States and its allies on the offensive. The newest fighter planes, whether they are the latest F-22s or B Strike Fighters, are all really only designed to go as fast as possible, and that is what they were designed for.
The United States Air Force is one of the most successful branches of the military, and they have a lot of respect for the United States Air Force and its ability to operate modern warplanes. One of the most popular modern warplanes is the F-22, which has many advantages over and above just being a fighter plane. Some of those advantages include high altitude, high speed, and stealth. The primary difference between an F-22 and other fighter jets is that they are more advanced, faster, and stealthier.
Some of the modern fighters are in fact quite similar to the B-jet models, including the EA-17 and EA-6 “Falcon” stealth fighters. However, these aircraft do not have the range or power necessary to compete with a B-jet. Many believe that future fighter jets will be designed with long-range cruise missiles in mind. This means that the future will see new fighter jet designs that have the ability to shoot down incoming missiles before they reach their designated targets.
Most of the modern fighter jets can cruise at speeds of over 3 miles per second. Of course, this speed is only useful if you are able to actually reach your target. If you are unable to make it to your target, then you probably won’t be very successful in your mission. These aircraft are primarily made to penetrate surrounding airflows and take out their enemy with as few missiles as possible. They cannot engage other fighter jets that may be pursuing them because of their design.
Unlike fighter jets, most fighter planes are not built with extended ranges. A major problem in this department relates to maintaining and repairing the aircraft after every mission. Without adequate storage space and with limited fuel sources, fighter jets will need to land at a runway before they can be used again. Without adequate supplies for re-use, repair of the damaged parts of these aircraft will also be problematic. An extreme example of this would be if your fighter jet was shot down over a desert.
There are some new technologies being introduced into the field of fighter jet design. One such technology is the use of a concept known as Helmet-net. The concept makes use of a net that is affixed to the fighter’s head, thus diverting the aircraft’s energy away from the pilot’s eyes and towards the sensor information that is being tracked by the radar. This information is constantly being upgraded, allowing fighter pilots to be more capable and aware of their surroundings at all times.
Although the development process for modern warplanes is expensive and time-consuming, it is essential for the modern fighter jet to remain effective in defense. Without modernized fighter aircraft, modern armies will not be able to fight off modern terrorists and enemies. In the end, the cost of purchasing these new fighters will prove to be much greater than putting them to use in the military. Until recently, though, the United States was the only country to be able to afford the purchase of modern warplanes.
